All,

Glad to join the iRV2 community. I've learned a TON from the forums already. I'm still learning from all of you daily! Hopefully, I'll be able to contribute a little one day.

Circumstances and opportunities aligned themselves where we decided to take this next school year (Aug '17 to July '18) and travel around the USA with our three girls (about to be 10, 8 and 6 yr old). We started from zero knowledge about RVs in February and now proud owners of a bunkhouse 2015 Fleetwood Excursion. I've managed not to break it so far (actually fixed a few things already).

I'm a structural engineer and will be working remotely from the RV while my wife (10 yrs experience 2nd grade teacher) home-schools the girls. Yes, pray for us; we'll need it!

Regards,

Robert

Wink

sounds exactly like us when we started June1, 2014... with two teen boys, and a Yorkie, new to the biz of the RV lifestyle and dove right in... in our new 2014 Thor Palazzo 33.3 bunkhouse... almost identical to your Fleetwood Excursion, sweet... 60,000+ miles...

going to the Yukon and Alaska in several weeks, for a two month summer journey, between the school year - the boys were ok for two years of homeschooling from their teacher Mom, but wanted back to school this past year : )

maybe we'll pass each other during our travels, soon...

Thanks! That's good to know some who have tried it and survived! We rented a Palazzo just like yours to just test out RVing, we loved it. Very similar. The Excursion was for the space in the bedroom for a desk setup.
