New Member - World Wide Travelers

Greetings!

We are in our 4th year of international travel and decided to spend some time in the US. We'll rent an RV before purchasing. I joined this site to help research mail forwarding/domicile issues. We have used a friend's address in Illinois for tax/insurance/mail handling but now that we have a vehicle find choosing a state friendly to nomads is a better option. We have a house in Tennessee (currently rented) and are considering using that address for DL, registration, taxes & Medicare and getting a mail forwarding service. Hoping to keep our same financial institutions. I saw a few posts last year from a couple in similar circumstances and will find that thread and see if their solutions worked. Looking forward to RVing!

Welcome to the forum. You need to talk to an accountant or lawyer to see if you TN address will work since you are really not living in the home.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good information to share.
