Hi All:
Joined the group a while back and have just been observing and learning. What a wonderfull groop of people!
We are Larry and Karen from Pekin, Illinois. I (Larry) have retired from carpentry and am working part time at The Home Depot Untill Karen can retire. We are hoping that will be in a year or less. We have both been campers most of our lives. Our kids started camping as babies. We just sold our home after being on the market for nine months. We have never been able to travel much and figured it is now or never. We are excited to say we have just purchased a new to us 2003 Fleetwood Bounder 38N it has 3 slides and pretty much everything we were looking for. Will have to stay in the area for the most part unitll Karen retires. After that we plan to see as mutch of this country as we can and just enjoy life and each other for as long as we can. Will no dought be leaning on all of you for answers to our questions and problems as they arise. Looking forward to the fulltiming life and the freedom it has to offer.

Hope to see many of you down the road:
Larry and Karen

Larry and Karen (hometwn2):

Hi from over here in South Dakota and a BIG WELCOME to iRV2. Hey, where's Perkin? Couldn't find it in the index of my atlas, but, then again, the ol eyes can barely read that small print.

Glad ya finally got the house sold. That's tough in today's market, congrats. We retired out of Duluth, MN back in 05 and have been on the road ever since and really enjoy it. Have crisscrossed Illinois a number of times traveling between Florida and our family visits back in Minn. and my wife's family here near Mitchell, So. Dakota, now our state of residence.

Congrats and welcome. My DH and I are in the same situation, he's retired from the military and waiting on me to finish my time. We plan on trying FT after that to see if we enjoy it. Wish u the best and have fun!

Welcome Larry and Karen! I have found this site to be very helpful and friendly people. Husband just retired in March. I left my job and we ended up renting the house. We have already been cross country from NC to CA and now on our way from NC to NY, VT, NH and Maine. Hope Karen can retire soon and you can get out on the road. Hoping you will like it as much as we do.
