Hello,
We are going to retire Jan. 31st and moving to Florida. Get away from the snow and cold for a while. We want to see more of America in our 2006 Safari Cheetah. We are looking for ideas on cheep to free campsights. Thanks for any ideas.
Carl and Marty

Hi Carl & Marty and welcome to the forum.

As far as free campsites you have some but not all Casinos, Cracker Barrels, Walmarts.

Cheap there are SKP parks ( If you are an Escapees member) and state and national parks.

I'm sure others will add to the list........... Meanwhile enjoy !

Paul

I am between Mobile Al., and Pensacola Fl. I am staying at an older park, but has a laundry room, clubhouse, and they have some activities. It is East of Mobile about 23 miles, Off I-10 toward Penasacola, Take exit 53, make a right on County Road 64. go about 2 mi. and on the left you will see Hilltop Rv Park, their 50Amp sites are $315.00 mo and 30Amp are $290.00. If you go to Rv park reviews website, go to alabama, type in Robertsdale. I think you will like it here, not a huge Resort, just about 100 spaces.
Enjoy Your retirement and the Gulf Shore Area looks pretty nice and their is a lot to see and do in the area. Like Seafood, many eateries. Irover

Gee, what a great idea . . . of course, we are from Kentucky, too, and are presently in Florida until Spring cause Kentucky's cold, real cold. Snow, too.

Welcome Carl and Marty,
What part of Kentucky are you trying to escape from? It's a beautiful state that I like a lot. Earned my master's degree at Eastern Kentucky in Richmond. Had spent quite a few visits in the Louisiville area visiting my sister until she passed five years ago. Still a favorite area for me. The weather here in NWF and South Alabama is cold right now, but generally warmer than Kentucky. Irover is right about a lot to do and see.
