Hi, Vickie and I live in sylva, NC near the Smokey Mountains. We've been RVing for about six years and last year purchased a used 5th wheel and diesel truck. We are really enjoying our "new" rig and try to make a trip at least once a month. Due to the price of diesel fuel, etc. we have shortened our trips to normally within 200 miles of where we live. However, we are finding really nice campgrounds and plenty to do. Also, since we are retired military we get to enjoy the great camping on our military installations. We have made a lot of new friends and hope to meet you all during our travels.

Hi Vickie & Roy! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you with us! You are SO lucky to live in NC! We have loved the Smokey Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway ever since we spent our honeymoon there 53 year ago! We usually go up there every fall to try and catch the leaves at the right time. Congrats on the new rig! We have pulled a 5er the last 10 years before going to a Class A a few months ago. Still have the 5er sitting in the yard. It's really hard to part with it!
