New Members OREGON

We own a 35ft Itasca Sunova - bunk bed model. Workhorse gasoline engine - 2008.

We really enjoy the RV, make occasional trips with our family.

Problems have been few - however the most troubling is the charging system...it seems the house batteries don't always charge while driving...

House batteries in general seem to be a struggle - how to care for them during storage.

We find RV-ing confined to a park with electric hookups for overnight to be a bit limiting - trips often are better served by spending a brief night in a rest area or Wal-Mart parking lot. However, all dead batteries in the morning is a little discouraging.

Otherwise - we enjoy traveling in our RV very much.

We have a '99 Pace Arrow and our house batteries charge from the Gen. or the solar panel on the roof. If we are in a park they charge from the shore power.

check your batteries. They may have gone bad. I have 2 house batteries and we can run all day and part of the night with min. usage and be OK to start the generator to recharge in the morning. I would have your systems checked. That shouldn't be happening.

Welcome to the site - Salem, Oregon here. Just begun RV'ing and am excited for our first long weekend out at Sea & Sand south of Lincoln City. We bough a used Winnie and hoping for the best. Hope you find out what the charging problem is.

Hi folks! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join us! Hope you can get your problems solved. As others have said, the first step should be to test the batteries. Most any auto parts store such as Auto Zone will test them free. Good luck & God bless!
