New Members with New to us MH

Greetings. Have been lurking for a while, but recently we came off the fence after many years of indecision and finally found our next RV. We started with tents, then the cab over camper, a pop up trailer and finally a travel trailer. They have all been gone for some years now as we had shifted priorities to our Harley Davidson. Bought a one ton dually a few years back because we thought our next rig would be a toy hauler. Been to many shows, searched on line many times but just never found "That" one.
The last couple years the desire was growing more and more. Decided I really didn't want to tow a 40' trailer and they kept getting heavier and our truck would probably need to be upgraded as well. Decided a Diesel Pusher was what would be more practical. Already have a 20' cargo trailer we can tow, but thinking about the hydraulic lift for the MH and working on the Toad connections right now. .

So, long story short, we brought home a gently used 2007 Monaco Camelot 42PLQ with 22k miles. Yes, it's big... Going through it now noting little things here/there that need attention. I'll be posting in the appropriate section with questions about the air brake connection for the toad. So far this place has been an invaluable source for researching issues and recommendations.

Took a similar path. Tents, pop-up, DP (skipped the TT). Enjoy the new ride.

Mike, Like you we just took the plunge and bought a 2005 Beaver 40' w/tag axle. We tow a Jeep Liberty and went with a Roadmaster tow bar and Air Force 1 brake actuator. https://smibrake.com/towed-vehicle-b...-force-one.php
Had the toad baseplate and brake actuator installed at a hitch shop-$3,600 all up, but the system works like a dream. Enjoy your travels!!
