New Owner (almost)

I just put a deposit on a 2000 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 40. I've been driving Volkswagen campers for 15 years, which makes me totally unqualified to operate a 40ft motorhome. I see a steep learning curve ahead. Our goal is to prepare ourselves and the RV for a trip from New Hampshire to San Diego, and back, in June/July. Much to do...

Mike

Hi Mike! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! Don't worry, you'll do fine! It's called OJT (on-the-job-training)

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome. There is a learning curve for sure but it'll be like riding a bike before you know it. I went from a sports car to a 36' MH 😄.
Good luck.

Welcome and glad to meet you!

I think you will be surprised how quickly you pick it up. Take it to a large parking lot and learn how to park it, drive around corners, back it, etc.

this. Churches offer excellent practice areas; especially if parking places are marked off.

Take trips to parks 20-100 miles away in order to learn the proper way to hook up, use the systems, evacuate septic systems, and drive that 1' closer to the left edge of the lane than you're used to doing.
