New owner soon!!
Hello!! I'm new on this site and everything that has to do with RV... Well... Almost...
We are about to make an offer on a Newmar Dutch Star 3891 2001... 70k miles... In great shape in & out! Price requested. 49900$ including a car ( 4000$ worth) the OX and almost everything you would need to be able to leave tomorrow for a first excursion!!
Good deal you think?? My insecurity is mostly be cause it's 13 years old AND it's a diesel and I have never owned anything diesel before... Your thoughts??

Howdy and welcome. I'd say have it check out mechanically and make sure everything works. Newmar builds a quality motorhome, so if it has had proper care it should be a good choice.

Welcome and glad to meet you!
If it's mechanically sound then go for it. A DP will give you extra luxury that you might not find in other coaches, plus the extra torque is nice in the mountains.

Hi Nath! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join us!
That sounds pretty good to me, but I would have someone check it out thoroughly. Be sure the owner has maintenance records so you can be sure it was serviced properly!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

You might consider making your purchase contingent on a satisfactory oil sample analysis of the engine and transmission. Cost is under $100. Google it. If you have a bad bearing or a poorly maintained tranny you'd know the easy way vs the hard way.

Sounds like a great deal on a great rig!
Do check the DOT code on the tires to find out how old they are.
