Smile New RV Owner

Hello all,

I am recently retired and my wife and I just purchased a 2004 Fleetwood Revolution. We are new to RV's and as you can imagine learning everyday.

We are looking to find a place either on the Texas or Florida gulf coast and thought having an RV during our hunt would be wise.

Thanks in advance for any advise and help.

Hi Hootie-Owl and welcome to the forum. Congratulation on your Revolution. What kind of place are you looking for on the Gulf Coast?

Historyljc,

We are looking for a house on a canal or bay area that I can dock a fishing boat. We figured in Florida somewhere between Pensacola and Cape Coral we might find it. Also in Tex around Corpus Christi and as far south as Port Isabel. Needs garage space and now RV space.

Friends, my wife and I took our new RV out for our first trip to check things out and learn how to operate everything. We chose Burwood RV Park in Bullard Texas. It was about a 2 hour drive from Dallas. The RV performed great. Strong winds while driving yet the RV handled it well. The Burwood RV park was a pleasant surprise. Very friendly and helpful staff. They knew we were new to RVing so they helped me get hooked up.

Outside of heavy rain this morning we have had a great trip.

One correction. The RV Parks name is Bushmans.
