New Rv Owner
First thing hello to all, and thanks for allowing me to join this community of rv people. I just recently inherited a 1986 chevy honey 28ft motorhome. It has a 454 chevy motor, sleeps six has stove, ref, microwave. What I dont know is, anything about this thing, I do know that it has a new dometic frig, a fairly new stove, supposedly a new water tank and a somewhat new generator. But what I dont know is how all this stuff works, it needs propane to operate the stove, watertank, and frig, but I cant seem to find how or where to light these appliancs? Is there piolet lites somwher I dont know about or do they light automaticaly when turned on. I would appreciate any information, or advice from anyone. As I said I have never had a rv before, so any input would be very helpful. Thanks in advance

Welcome to iRV2.
The fridge, furnace, and water heater , depending on the age and model #'s, should be automatic ignition for propane operation. But require a good 12v power source for proper operation; a charged battery or working converter plugged into 120v power. Stove top and oven ; if equipped; are probably manual light.
There are pdf of manuals available , here in the forums ( " Files" drop box in the blue bar , under your welcome message) or on the manufacturer's web sites.
If you don't find what you need , then posting the model # of the appliance, here will help other members get you the info you need. Or a picture of the item. Info on posting pictures is in the " FAQ " drop box , in the blue bar.

Hi Pappadon,
Welcome to the forum. Wow, inherited it? That's great ! There is plenty of help here. Wander around the forum and read and read. We started a year ago as "never owned one of these things before" and needed to learn everything.
This group has been amazing and they will help you too. Like Skip said, pictures and model numbers will help greatly. This is a fun hobby and even at CG's (campgrounds) people will help. Just ask.
Hope you learn all you need to know and that you have as much fun as we have had so far. Lynne
