New RV'er here - 2012 Tiffin 35QBA

I'm a first time owner of an RV of any kind. Wife used to camp out all the time as a kid, but in tents and pop-ups back then in the mountains of New Mexico. Once we got married, she had had enough of that, so no camping for the last 30 years.

NOW, the kids are gone and we're looking for new adventures. Always though RV'ing was cool but too expensive. Comparing the cost to hotels, eating out, etc. I see we should have done this years and years ago. That makes me sad that I didn't see it sooner while the kids were home.

Well, perhaps, the new adventure will draw our kids and grandkids (whenever they come) to come RV'ing. Plus, we can go see them whenever and NOT be a burden.

Congratulations! We too only started for the first time RVing 4 years ago, long after our 2 sons were adult and no longer living home.
I feel the same way you do as a missed opportunity for good quality family fun.
Maybe sometime in the future I can get my grandchildren to come with us.
Time will tell....
Enjoy your new "baby", and safe happy travels.
Sue

BoogieMan;

We are glad you joined us. Congratulations on the purchase of your new Tiffin Coach. I encourage you to try to make up your lost camping adventures with your grandkids if you can. You will make memories that will last a life time for both of you. My DW and I were in the same situation as you were and we took all our grandkids camping. They are all grown up now but they still remark about the fun they had.

Post often and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Don

Hi and welcome to IRV2! Glad you decided to take the plunge into RV'ing! We made the same mistake you did about not getting into it while the kids were growing up. Good luck & God bless!

BoogieMan,

When we financed our Tiffin Allegro Open Road we went directly to Essex Credit. We got a lower interest rate than what the dealer offered.

Good Luck,
Jon

Anyone ever hear of southeast financial? They advertise on the web. Any dealings with them and their credit fixer company, nationalcredit care?

Any experiences?

The DW who used to be an executive VP at a bank says most of these credit fixing companies are a scam.

She says if you have incorrect information on your credit report you can call them directly and get it corrected without having to pay a fee.

The DW said she has no knowledge of Southeast Financial or their credit fixer company National Credit Care.

Good Luck,
Jon
