Hi all ! Michele here...darling hubby and I just purchased a 2000 Monaco Diplomat 38D. We are leaving California in April (for 2 months) to check out the Eastern Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri area for a new home. Hubby is a prospector and we will be spending our days going from one gold claim to another...all across the US.
I was just wondering if anyone has some good resources or advice for a couple of new Class A owners?

Howdy Michele and welcome. Congrats on the newly-purchased Monaco! As far as good resources or advice...you've come to the right place. Start skimming the forum and reading; then post any questions you have about stuff. Also, there's a Monaco owner's section that you might want to check out. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/

Good luck and have fun!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad you joined us. Sounds like you have quite a trip in hand. We have friends back home that go to Oregon for the entire summer to prospect. They tallied 11 ounces last year in there 3 month endeavor. Not a bad paycheck. Enjoy your time on the road, be safe and Happy Motoring!!!!!

Hi 'Mother goose' (Michele):

WELCOME to the iRV2 gang. Good spot, with great folks.

Boy!!...that prospecting activity sure gets our attention. We caught the bug during our trip to Alaska where we even spent a day with John Schnable and his grandson, Parker, at his Big Nugget mine outside of Haines. This was before that new TV series called "Gold Rush" got on the air. We still have a little "pay dirt" from there that we haven't panned out yet....kind of a memento I guess.

Anyway, WELCOME again, a DO post once and awhile about your prospecting adventures.

Steve & Lynette
