New RV'ers from Jax Beach Fl

My wife and I (both early 50's) just purchased a 2016 Thor Hurricane 29m and hopefully take delivery by April 1. We are new to the RV lifestyle and happy to join this board to meet likeminded individuals and share knowledge and experiences. We are planning our first trip which we hope to make 2-3 months to the west coast.

Welcome! Hope you have many years of fun travels. When you get it go over everything with a fine tooth comb, make sure you know how everything works before you drive it off the lot. Read the manuals for all of the appliances, furnace, AC and understand the warranties.

I had a 2000 Hurricane 30q which I bought way used and it served us well for several years. Wish they still made them.

Get in the habit of doing the maintenance, checking the caulking, and you will be much happier. Something rolling down the hi-way over railroad tracks will always have something that needs tightening, adjusting, "tweaking". RV'ing is a great activity but is not a "get it and forget it" purchase.
