Hi we are Steve and Robyn - just got a new (to us) Fleetwood Terry 25' Northwest edition fifth wheel and have taken a job as the Campground Host for the county park in Wolf Creek Oregon. We are loving this and want to invite any on this BB to come and camp in our lovely park. Anyways just wanted to say hello!

Hi, and welcome, Steve and Robyn!
I'm a Northwesterner, too, and your Campground is one I haven't heard of...
How about telling us about it?
Pictures are always greatly appreciated too, hint, hint...

Well, since you asked - we are a smallish (32 space) campground nestled in the trees - no cement jungle here! Most sites have water and power, but only one is a full hook up with sewer (but we do have a free dump station for our campers.) The Campground is open year round, with dry camping during the winter.
We are off exit 76 on I 5 between Grants Pass and Roseburg (if you know the area) - Wolf Creek is a small town of about 600 that has a historic past. We are best known for the Wolf Creek Inn, where Jack London was a frequent visitor. There is a trail from the park to the top of London Peak, where he was known to sit and write - one of London's estates in California was named Wolf Creek after our little town.
I will try and get some pictures when I can find our camera!
Thanks for the warm welcome - I have a feeling there is a wealth of information here and awesome folks.

Thanks for the info!
Adding to my "Oregon Places" list...
Now I'm thinking I might know this campground...
Five years ago I took my Granddaughter to Disneyland. After driving 'til after midnight, I intended to stop and sleep at the I-5 (mp 83?) Cow Creek rest area.
It was closed!
As I remember, I kept going south and spotted a "campground" sign that directed me to a CG that was only a few miles East of the freeway...
It must have been about 2 a.m. when I pulled in and parked.
We left around 10 a.m. the next morning, so I don't remember much detail about the campground except that it was treed, nice roomy sites, and "manned" by a Camp Host...
I also seem to remember a creek/river at the edge...
Could this have been the campground you folks are running now?
Thanks!
Francesca

You could not have described our campground better! So many people get off late in the evening just like you did when they are just too tired to go any farther and guess what? That rest stop is closed again!

I'll be darned!
What's the actual name of the CG- that I can't figure out...?
I did let my Granddaughter ride her bike around a little before we hit the road again.
From what I could see, that's a real nice campground!
Funny about the rest stop being closed again-
Might be a good idea to run down there and post a sign:
"There's a WAY better place to spend the night down the road apiece!"
Good luck, and have fun!
Francesca

The campground is a county campground - in the Josephine County Park system - and is just called "wolf Creek Park" - you can find it on line here
Josephine County Online - Wolf Creek
it is a sweet place with a year round creek that we dam up in summer for a nice swimming hole - no real amenities like showers or flush toilets (if you want or need that then there is a huge cement jungle up the road at Seven Feathers Casino) but we offer a friendly face and even share our wi-fi with our campers.
Hmmmm have to think about putting that sign at the rest stop - they seem to close it for no reason at all.
Robyn

Welcome from your neighbors just down the road. We are campground hosts at Jackson County Oregon - Parks - Emigrant Lake Ashland, OR in the Oak Slope Campground. This is another hidden gem county park There is also an RV section with FHU.
We have REALLY enjoyed the area but will be moving South in a couple of weeks as the cold hits here. The park closes Oct 31. Great place to stay while taking in all the plays at Oregon Shakespeare Festival We'll probably be back in March for the beginning of the play season & hope to host again in the fall to see the rest of the plays...bargain prices at those times.
Hope you have a good winter. Post often
Marilyn
