Hey guys. Looks like I found the right place for me! I'm new to RV'ing. I just bought an 84 Tioga to act as the new family hauler/tow rig.

I'll be primarily dry camping/boondocking. I'm not really a campground type of camper. Just need a base of operations for the 3 kiddies and wife who isn't much of a camper. It'll be a place to cook, sleep (for me and the wife anyway) and store our stuff. Other than that, we'll be outside.

The RV is a bit on the old side, which I love. I do a lot of fabrication for offroad trucks and the RV is gonna get some personality added to it. It has a 460/C6 and Dana 70. Here's my todo list:

Running Gear
-Tranny temp guage
-Tranny cooler w/ fan
-oil cooler (rail mounted stacked plate)
-Better carb
-Dual 3" exhaust all the way back
-Looking into a gear splitter

Exterior
-Pre-runner style front bumper with nerf bar and lights
-Matching rear bumper with swing out BBQ (plumbed in to vehicle propane), built in ladder (original one is a bit rickety), tire carrier and cooler carrier
-Tubular side steps to replace the current entry steps (broken) and running boards
-Beefed up frame/hitch assembly in the rear to handle towing
-LED lights to relace all of the incandescents
-New paint job (might go with something from http://www.apeskins.com)

Electronics/Interior
-Flat panel TV and DVD for while on the road (not allowed to be used while camping)
-Small fixes here and there
-Toilet sprayer
-Incandescent/LED lights (whichever is the most efficient on the batteries)
-Several 6v golf cart batteries
-Small solar panels

Well, that's me, my new ride and my plans. Looking forward to exchanging some good ideas with everybody!!!

Jack
