Congrats on the new RV. The A.C.E. line is one of the best selling gas Class A's in North America.

Safe travels

Congratulations!!

Don't worry about all the Thor bashing, that's what internet message boards are for! It's where you will find owners looking for answers to problems.

VERY rarely to you see spontaneous posts about how well things are going, with any brand of RV, product, or company on the interwebs, (or the national and local television/radio news for that matter).

I'm a recent Thor owner because I think their niche in the market is to provide value.* You get bang for the buck. Heck, I only paid $73k for my Hurricane with a bath and a half. My previous Winnebago Vista with the very similar floorplan cost me over $20k more, (and the entire rear endcap fell off while in the High Sierras)! And before that, my Fleetwood Pace Arrow cost $30k more and the transmission failed before it hit 1900miles.

*Note: This was a non-paid unsolicited endorsement. However, any Thor Motorhome Company marketing folks or executives who see fit to send me some dollars for these fine words, please feel free to contact me.

We have a 2012 Thor ACE and are very happy with it. We just came back from Alaska and never had a minutes trouble with the rig. (12,455 miles! 20 States and 3 Canadian Providences)

Transmission failure would have nothing to do with Fleetwood.

Mr. D,

Yes it was a Ford F53 Chassis.

However, it absolutely has everything to do with Fleetwood! Within a month of driving off of the dealer's lot it was covered under the Fleetwood warranty.

Fleetwood authorized the replacement of the transmission, not Ford. The service department and I had absolutely NO interaction with Ford for the warranty authorization, towing charges, hotel charges, car rentals, trip interruption fees, or the actual repair. All Fleetwood.

Fleetwood most likly dealt with Ford offline, but I was not involved with any of it.
