New To-Be Full-Timers

Hi everyone! I've heard great things about this forum from some friends of mine who are full-timers.

My husband and I are planning on selling our house and buying our first-ever RV. We hope to be on the road full-time by early 2015. We will be working full-time as we travel, and we'll be bringing our cat and dog with us.

We're currently in the overwhelming process of getting ready (getting rid of lots of stuff, putting our house on the market, shifting clients to remote-only, researching, RV shopping, etc.), but we can't wait to see what adventures this new lifestyle has in store for us.

PS - If anyone has thoughts about an RV we're considering, we appreciate your expertise and sharing your time!

We did the same as you three years ago. Yes, it's overwhelming, but just take it one step at a time, and ask lots of questions.

Welcome to the irv2 gang and to RV life! There's a lot of experience represented by the folks in these forums. They've been a great help to us.

I took a quick look at your post about what you are looking for. I'm probably not a great source for answers, but know there are others here who will respond soon. Good luck with your search!

Welcome! You have found a great spot for the info you need.

Our auction is a week from today. After that it's a light load to storage and then it's FULL-TIME!

Welcome and glad to meet you!

We jumped in feet first. We bought our coach 3 months prior to receiving the bid for our home. We had a few anxious months with dual payments. It all worked out. We moved into the coach in May and closed on the sale in July.

I would purchase your RV a few months before selling the sticks and bricks.
Taking the RV for a few trips to get the bugs out. There will be bugs!
On our fourth and still haven't got them out of this one after a year.
New or used all the same , bugs!
We are in our third year. Great life. Follow the thermometer .
50-90* .
Welcome to the life and good luck! Great info here!
