New to everything. Jumping in!!

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris. My family and I have jumped in head first into this crazy RV world. For the last 12 years, I have been an advid sled dog racer. We had a kennel of 10 dogs (Siberian Huskies) and hit probably 5-6 races per season. As life throws curve balls, we sold the Kennel to concentrate more on our little girl who was born with heart problems and other health issues. After several different surgeries, heart, stomach, ears, These days she is doing great, will be turning 4 in June. One of the happiest kids you will ever meet.

A good friend traded me a 2000 Thor Aerolite Cub F19 travel trailer for a dog and some equipment. Its in great shape. Not a thing wrong with it. It even had the brand new updated fold out bed doors and hinges put on it 4 years ago. I guess this was an issue with them. My original thought was to sell it, but after having it for a week and talking with my wife, we decided to start a new chapter in our lives and do some rv camping! Over the last week, I've purchased basic stuff, new sewer hose for it, chairs, rug, lamps, tv, bedding ect.. We hope to have our first trip coming on April 11-12. Allot of great camp ground in my area. I live in South Eastern Pa about 35 minutes south of Lancaster. Several great places to visit for the little one. One (Circle M RV resort) has a indoor pool and water park. We hope to visit this one often.

Any way, I just wanted to say hi to everyone, there is allot of great information on here. Perhaps maybe we might see some of you at a campground!

Chris.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes. Spent my day wiring in electic brakes on my truck, taking the dog box off it and putting a bed on it.

Thornhammer got bless your daughter. You never feel alone when you meet other parents that have battled cardiovascular problems with their child. Ella's condition was not as severe as your daughters. We met a family that had a child born with a condition similar to your daughters I believe. Left heart syndrome. We got to know them very well. ICU neighbors. I will never remember the day we came in, Ella was moving to general cardio care and they lost him. We all cried. It was the hardest thing I've ever wet through. It was not fair they lost him. To watch us move our daughter out of ICU must have been gut wrenching. I appreciate how blessed I am every day. Ella's condition was ASD and VSD defects. No dividing chamber wall or septum for the top and bottom chambers. Just one surgery and god willing the last one...

Thanks again everyone. Got a trip planned for easter weekend!!!!!
