New to forum but not to camping

Thanks for accepting my membership. Hubby and I have been camping for 35 years and since we retired in May, have been full timing in our 27 foot motorhome. We plan to head south for our first warm winter starting in Texas and moving on to Florida. Lots of good info here so whenever we get a decent wifi signal, I'll be checking it out!

Sorry but I'm a bit different. I live in this Texas high humidity area and don't often get out often in it even to hit the roads. I wait until the fall and winter and drive up north for the coldness and lower humidity. Turn on the fans and a/c anyway. How odd is that? Congrats on serving. USN retired after 25 years. We did the camping (tent) things for years in various duty stations, but sorry to say "no matter how much tent repellent was used on the seams, our tents always leaked". The nature of the beast. lol, but I'm not moving up to the colder climates. I enjoy my vegetable garden and its long growing period (hot peppers). Oh well. I used to tell our children when out wherever put up those phones and now they don't use them when on the road or camping, unless of an emergency. But getting home they do catch up on everything. Now they are exploring and enjoying it more. Fair winds and following seas Shipmate .... /Mikey
