New to Full Timing

Just purchased a 2000 Kountry Star 38'.... Wife needs to be in better climate for health. Getting out of Northeast winters...... Just trying to work the bugs out of the coach. Has been stored outdoors for two years..... So sick of owning a home, taxes and high expenses are not fun anymore... still has original tires when it was built but they were 7 years old when they were installed on the chassis??........ From what I've read, I bet you can guess what they are.

Howdy and welcome to the group Rugrider!

I feel your pain and wish you the best. Full timing isn't paradise all the time but it is pretty nice - at least in my opinion. Enjoy the journey!!

Welcome. Owning a home is a big responsibility and one of these days we plan on doing the same thing, selling it and seeing some of this country.

Congratulations on new rig. Expect to spend some money initially to get everything up to date. Once done I think you will find full time a real joy. Always little things to fix like adjusting hinges, fixing drawer latches, and othe do it your self things. if you like to tinker and putz around fixing minor things like I do it's just part of the fun.
Adventure is so much more fun than mowing the lawn.

Welcome Rugrider,

We have been full-timing now for 2yrs. in Feb and we LOVE IT! It took us the first 8mos. to work out the bugs on our coach. Now all is well and we just returned from a 6,000 mile northern U.S. summer trip.
Good luck with your RV and plans. Remember.....all of us are in the same boat and here to help if needed.
Happy Camping

Congrats, Welcome to the full timers group. We love it, having a great time. It will take time to work out the bugs, but this is the correct place to be. Questions? Ask away.

Get your tires off the soft ground and on plywood panels under footprint of tires or you can use plastic cutting boards found at Sam's, you will find your tires will last a lot longer.

I don't think we own our home, the home owns us.
