New to Here

Hi -

DH and I are originally from southwestern PA, but now call North Houston area home. We have been full timing since June 2012. Prior to that we recreational camped, starting in tent to pop-up to travel trailer. We bought our current 5er in the same year we went full time. It is a 2005 Crossroads Paradise Pointe 33RL. DH is an operations manager for drilling rig supply company, and I am a inventory coordinator (purchaser/buyer) for the same company. I work from the RV. As a hobby, I work for a direct sale company that works with interior/exterior vinyl lettering, decals, and accessories. When we get our new RV, I am having Home Is Where We Park It made for the back of it.

A couple of years we would go to the Pittsburgh RV show and say we could live in one of these. Some day....when we retire. Well, the time came sooner. In March 2012 he received a promotion to regional manager at the company he works. The promotion required us to move to Houston, and then he would fly out to the Oklahoma City, Odessa TX, Broussard LA, Pittsburgh PA, almost every week. He didn't want to be away from me or our fur babies. We, also, have a "daughter" in PA. She was our foster baby from 3 days to 14 months old. At the time, she was 9 years old. She lives with her biological grandparents but we were extremely involved in her life....more than her own family.

DH made a pitch to the company about us living full time in RV. The cost for fuel and RV parks was considerably cheaper than airline flights, and pricey hotels in the oil play areas. It also give us more flexibility to change plans...even last minute. They agreed. The president of the company signed a contract that allows us to travel back to PA every 8 to 12 weeks to spend around 6 weeks to see Maddi.

Since we have lived in the Paradise Pointe for 2 years. I know exactly what I want in a 5er. We saw the Bay Hill 340RK at Houston RV Show and fell in love with it. We had to wait until we had a buyer for S & B house. We finally have one, and it closes next week. We ordered the gray 2015 340RK on Friday. We should take delivery of it 2nd week of September. Woot! Woot!

Blessings to all,
Trudi

(sorry so long)
