Post New to IRV2

Hello community. Only months away from retirement. My wife and I are very active and travel mainly by air but what to stay on the ground in the future. We are looking into RV'ing and trying to decide on what type of RV is right for us. We enjoy our motorcycle, fishing, hiking, bicycling etc.... A 5th wheel toy hauler is being considered. Feedback for you vetern RV's is encouraged.

Howdy and welcome to the forum. Congrats on the upcoming retirement and hope you really enjoy the time you will have now for traveling. Have a great time shopping and deciding what is right for you. I'm sure you'll get plenty of input but only you will be able to decide what works best for you. Hope to see you down the road.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the upcoming changes in your lifestyle!

I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice on the type of unit. We went with a 40' diesel pusher as our first RV and we've loved it. However, we don't lug around the toys you're going to need. Just a Ford Explorer toad and two bikes.

We loved the floor plans available in fifth wheels but just couldn't get past the fact that our everyday "car" would have to be a giant truck.

Best of luck.

Rick
