Hi to all,
Been here a few times looking for information and always had good results.
Several year member of another forum and adding to my selections.
Semi-veteran of RVing. Been at it part-time for 2 1/2 years and full-time (in one place) for the past 1 1/2 years, living in our rv. Kids (6) are now gone.
Jumped in feet-first with a used 32' Class A Georgie Boy Cruise Master fully self contained (454/Auto - generator). Took it on a 3000 mile round-trip to the east coast and back and we were hooked. Changed fuel filters twice on that trip, on the side of the road.
Rebuilt the roof and re-sided, brakes all around, furnace repairs, ac replacement, water heater. All done by us. Got a lot of good use out of it over the last 4 years.
We just upgraded to a 1998 Overland Larado 42' Class A with a 16' slide, Cummins 8.3L diesel pusher and Allison 6-speed tranny. Again, fully self contained (diesel generater). Bigger, more powerfull and the air ride is GREAT!
Been doing small fixes all around. New rubber on the roof is our next project. Yep, another roof replacement. We picked it up for about 1/3 of NADA value, so the roof was planned for.
I hope to be able to add my knowledge to this forum, but I will still have questions.
