New to RV
I looked at various sizes and a class C seems to be an entry point for me.
There will be only 2 of us, but we want a little extra room, maybe 1 that sleeps 4?
Is there a recommended information starting point?
I would want a thoroughly working RV, but not take the discount on a new one?

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good info here. There is a thread just for Class C coaches and lots of info and questions there.
Do spend some time looking at multiple coaches and floor plans at RV centers or an RV show if one in your neighborhood.
The most important thing is floor plan, is has to work for you. Good luck in your search.

I agree with Momdoc. The floor plan is everything. We (Sharon, Mocha & Shadow our cats and Hershey our Labradoodle and I) squeeze ourselves into a 35 foot long diesel pusher motorhome, and those times when one of the aforementioned is miffed at me I sure wish the coach was longer!
BTW John, Welcome to our merry bunch. If you have any questions, just ask.

This is the time of year for RV shows. Google and see what is drivable distance to you. We try to go to one per year always looking for ideas from the next purchase to retirement planning. Greta way to compare floorplans, RV types, and manufacturers without the hassle of needing a sales escort or driving to different dealers.
Hershey is the big show in the fall if you happen to be close enough.
