New to rv life from MO....

Hello well after a year of much thinking about we pulled the trigger. It's not our dream trailer but it will do, until we can up grade. We bought a 1992 NuWa Hitchhiker2 and set it up. There are a few things we need to fix but it goes with the territory. We moved in 2 weeks ago and have already felt the stress level drop drastically. The owner of the camp ground here is very very understanding and extremely helpful. Just cannot say enough. But it's all good. A little about us, I am 58 and my wife is 52 we both work full time jobs. Are are looking to hitting the road as soon as we can. But so far so good. We hope to meet as many new people as we can. And wish everyone and safe road wherever it may you and us......

Like you, my wife and I slipped into RVing several years ago, not really sure if it was for us. Now hitting the road is all we think about. I'm 58 years, 10 months and learned recently that I could retire just after my 60th birthday, three years earlier than I had planned. Last month we bought our fifth and largest RV, a 2017 Thor ACE 29.4 that we plan to use for a series of 8 to 10 week stretches beginning in July of 2018. Right now we're just looking for free weekends to feed the need up until retirement time.
I think you're going to like the RV lifestyle. Congratulations on your purchase! And don't worry about having things that need to be fixed. That never goes away, even with brand new units.
(I'm originally from the Missouri Bootheal, living the good life now in north central Arkansas).

Hi, Here is another MO RVer, we are in St. Louis, and have a group camp with us. We go out once a month on the weekend, to local SP. We also have one time during the year that we take a longer trip. This year it's Rushmore, Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. It's a fun way to travel.

Camptolive--
We get to Branson often, maybe two or three times a year. It's a little over two hours from us. Are you familiar with a campground in town called Wanderlust? or Maybe Wonderlust? I found an old grade school friend on Facebook and the (relatively new) owners of that campground are her brother and sister-in-law. I'm hoping to get over sometime in the next few months to see the place and meet my friends brother. Branson is always a fun adventure, and now with Grandkids the right age to enjoy things, I'm hoping to make it there more often.

I just that a few days ago, we won't be able to attend the whole rally because of work schedules but would differently like to stop by for a meet and greet....
