New to RV, new to this Forum

Hello everyone, I just recently retired. One of my lifelong dreams was to do some serious traveling and camping.
I didn't have much money, so I purchased a 1978 Fleetwood Tioga Motorhome, at a very good price. It didn't run when the seller tells me the RV been sitting around a few years, his mechanic told him they needed a new fuel pump - that's bout it ... long story short. Three months and a fewthousand dollars later it still sat on my drive way... multiple problems.

Meanwhile, I saw another motorhome for sale, a 1983 Brougham on a Ford
choice, nice interior, runs well. The MH was located in a small town where they didn't require emission, After I drove it back to Phoenix; I found out all the emission apparatus was missing. ..long story short, I need to comb through a few junk yards for parts.

This brings me to this forum, trying to get information on repairing my RV and learn something above RV'king. I will probably post some rather naaaaaaaaaive questions, so, please bear with me. I am new.

I am looking for a punch list or checklist; I am looking for a list of " things to bring...shouldn't leave home without it ... type of list.

Here is my thought for a starter; toilet paper, fire extinguisher, Floor jack or bottle jack, lug nut wrench to change spare tire (god forbid), couple 2” x 6” x 20" wooden block to help raise the height when jacking, or block wheel so RV don’t roll ...etc.. I would like to hear from you experience RVs. What do you bring?
