Cool New to RVing

We have purchased a new Cougar High Country and are waiting for our new Ford F150 to be delivered. My parents have been RVers for 40 years, I grew up camping every weekend. Now husband is retired and were are going to hit the road. Question, portable or roof top satellite dish? Dad says portable, brother in law says roof top. What do some of you think and why?

Track while you drive and being mounted are real nice, but, when its hot outside and your parking under a tree for shade you may have a hard time seeing the satellite, just something to think about, enjoy the retirement and the new RV

Howdy and welcome to the forum. I think the satellite dish is a personal preference thing, as Frutza said. Good luck.
