New to RVing

Just purchased our first camper and looking for advice or tips before taking our first trip. Also looking to purchase a 19' awning, so any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome and congrats on your first camper. It would help to know what type/make/size camper you have.

Welcome. May you have many happy times in your rig. I would suggest Camping world for you awning/installation. Join their club for discount (join in store for lower fee). Not sure if a 19 foot is available as believe mostly the awnings are in two foot increments. Might be wrong tho.

.......Welcome aboard, and congradulations are in order on your new rig. As for trip necessities, make sure your spare tire is in good order, and jack as well. Flashlight is good to have handy, you never know when you will need it. If you get to Camping world, they sell a plastic chock, orange I believe, especially designed for changing a tire by simply pulling or backing one tire up on it, and simply remove the other which is off the ground. I watched a fellow camper with a bumper pull do this one time, he was surprised with a flat tire and he made it so simple. I cetanily hope you don't have one, but just some helpful advise I thought of. Good luck, travel safe and do post often.

Thanks to all of you for the tips. We're making our first test run tonight.
We have a campground about 3 miles from home. So were close enough to the house....just in case.
Wish us luck!
