we are also new to the site and plan to learn alot from all the more experinced Rvers out there, as i have already found out (just by reading and asking a few questions) there is alot to learn about taking to the road in a RV and probably will be reading and asking alot of question as we go along.

Welcome to IRV2...hope you enjoy it. We are looking at a trip to the keys this year or next year. I noticed most of the campgrounds are a tad expensive. Have found a couple under passport america (only as far as Marathon) and a few with camp club USA (they have one on key west) but of course they are only available on off season for the discount.

Welcome. I stay at the KOA at Sugarloaf - make a reservation. The KOA is Expensive and they pack em in. Key West has limited parking = not a good place to take a motorhome (I have a small toad). I think the KOA has scheduled rides to/from KWest (ask when you call). Also, Bahai Honda has a wonderful state park. I may stay there on my next trip down. If I recall, no water/electric sites, but if you can boondock it is worth it.

2nd the vote for Sugarloaf Key KOA. We've spent the last three Easters down there and will be back April 16.

If you pick the right site (we like #151) you have a little more room and a good view of the gulf. If you go for a waterfront site, you won't be able to extend your awning.
