New to site and RVing

Hello all, Just wanted to say hey and give a bit of background about myself. I have not been camping in many years but it is something that I have thought about for the last 4 or 5 years so we, (me and my wife) started talking about it and decided to do it. I went and found mallard motor home that lets just say seen it better days. I spent 2 years working on it just to finally say I had enough. Nothing worked on it when I got it a replaced all the 12 volt wiring and worked on motor. I didn't realize that the roof was in as bad of shape as it was. Let's just say leak is a understatement. After leaking all winter it was completely trash. I had enough because I was still going to have to put every thing in it no system worked on it. I gave it to a Friend of mine and told I'm how bad it was he said he would love to have it and fix it up. That was a year ago and it is still just taking up space in his yard. After all of that I still wanted to go RVing so fast forward to today. I got a 1994 5th wheel it needs some work but nothing like the motor home did. So wish me luck on The RVing adventure part II. This one at least I know I could make a trip in the way it is so things are on the plus side already!

Hi folks! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad to have you join the bunch here! Sorry about the MH. Hope you didn't put too much money into it before giving it up! Yep, the 5th wheel will be much easier to get in good shape. Keep us updated over in the 5th wheel section as you do the work. Feel free to ask any question that you have along the way. Good luck & God bless!
