New to site, Vintage Shasta Pop-Up Truck Camper

Hello. . . the name is Tim, the wife is Danielle.

Like the intro says, I just bought an early 80's Shasta Pop Up Truck Camper, everything seems to work except for the refrigerator (the power inverter buzzes too).
Canvas is a little rough, but still waterproof.

I am going to be trying to hunt down a manual for the camper, and look forward to getting some ideas about rebuilding the refrigerator coil, assuming that the problem is a leak in the ancient tubing.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck on rebuilding the frig. You might want to check the price of a new one, since parts maybe hard to come by and if found they may be bringing a pretty high price.

Welcome to iRV2. Like the previous poster suggested you may want to consider a new refer. Over the years I have had to replace 2 refers. Check the voltage on your converter and see if it is in range. Some of the older transformers were noisy. Good luck with your project.

I appreciate the comments. I ran across a site that specializes in rebuilt coils (rvcool.com). I figured it would probably be possible for me to send in my old coil and have it remanufactured, if that truly is the problem. Judging from the amount of rust on the coils, I'm just guessing that there's a leak somewhere. I'll know more when I have time to yank the thing out.

As far as the converter, is there any special place to look for replacements?
