New to the A class world.
Not totally new to the motorhome gig but defiantly up a notch from the past. We had a 27 foot C-class back when the kids were young but didn’t take it on any long hauls. Mostly weekend get aways.
Just bought a very clean 2003 Fleetwood Discovery 38T. Just over 25000 miles, brand new tires, a brand new double fridge with ice maker and some nice to have accessories added. Toppers looked a bit weather beaten from the Texas sun so owner replaced with new. Engine batteries tired so owner put in new. Oven has never been used. Central vac accessories still in original sealed plastic bags. Auto focus satellite dish, 2 stereos with surround sound. DVD VCR, engine brake and leather furniture. 330 Cat / Allison trans.
It was the typical, original owner…husband passed away…wife selling story. She recently spent just over 10-grand with service, tires, fridge replacement etc. Coach has less than 100 miles since then. Pick it up just over 50K. It was way less and way nicer condition than anything we looked at over the past few months.
We have a 16-foor car trailer and wife has a MX5 Miata we plan on pulling. Hope to get a short weekend away in a few weeks to do a shake down. Any hints, advise, suggestions or what the heck’s are greatly appreciated.
