New to the Forum

Would just like to say hello and introduce ourselves to the forum. We are from South Jersey and love to RV. We are counting the days for our first trip of the season. What is new for us this year is the fact that we recently adopted a rescue dog, and it will be first time we will be bringing a pooch along for the ride. We are planning to get away in a few weeks for a couple of practice runs with her. We opened up our TT last week and have been getting her used to being in it. Any tips would certainly be appreciated! Once again, hello to all..

Hi and welcome to IRV2. You will find the dog will adjust quickly. Our first trip with our dog was a success. She claimed HER couch, and loved being outside eating pinecones and sticks. Enjoy your trips and safe travels.

Congratulations on your new rescue! Would love to see some pictures of her on her first trip. I think she'll settle in fine, but since she is a rescue, there's no telling what her full history is. You're right to take her on a break-in trip. She's a lucky girl to have found a home that will provide her with love AND adventure! We travel with 2 dogs. A 3 year old female Border Collie and a 1 year old male Cairn Terrier mix. We like to find campgrounds with dog parks. We take them on lots of walks when we camp, but the dog parks give them some running time as well. Good luck!

Hi CapeM1, welcome to the forum. It's that time of year that everyone starts to get "trip happy". Use might use a plug in air freshner to help freshen up the TT after having been stored.
