New to the forum - considering a new RV
Hi everyone
I'm new to this forum, and I joined because we are considering a new RV for our family. Wifey and I have 2 kids (boys, 11 and 9yo) plus another on the way.
Anyway, we have family and neighbors who love RVs, and we have also rented RVs ourselves in the past for trips to the Indy speedway. With lots of road trips in our future, we're considering a purchase of our own coach. I've looked at some Forest River Class A models, but we're still in the information-gathering and shopping phase.
That's it for now. I'm glad to be here, and I look forward to learning more from all of the experts on this forum.
Cheers

Welcome. With two boys I'd suggest something with bunk beds. It will be better than making the dinette or sofa into a bed.

There are no experts on this forum. Some have lots of experience in certain types of RV that save others a lot of heartburn when we get the benefit of their experience.
As a retired couple, we have very little experience traveling with children. But there is one thing I feel comfortable advising you to do. Buy something used. Motor homes depreciate rapidly, esp the first year. And there are some good deals on used. If you find one cared for and maintained by the owner for several years it will be obvious in the details.
Search the forum too as this subject has been commented on many times. Do your homework and you will make a good decision.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! I'm learning lots as i cruise through the various sections of this forum.
Like I said in my first post, I am still in the information-gathering phase. We have many, many options to consider for an RV, and we won't be doing anything too hastily...
Also as noted above, we have two kids now, and we will likely seek an RV with bunk beds of some type. I've looked at a few Class A floorplans, and I like what I see so far with bunk-type layouts.
Will keep y'all posted on how this plays out...
Cheers!
