New to the forum. Old to RV'ing

Motorhome history:
When I was a kid, we had a
1971 Atlas Class A Motorhome (built in Mason City Iowa), then
1973 Atlas Class A (picked up New at the factory)
1977 Pace Arrow Class A

I was married in 1983. After our second child, we needed our own motorhome.
1986-1994 1977 Class A Champion Motorhome
1994-2005 1989 Class C Travelcraft Motorhome
2005-2010 1994 Class A Gulfstream Motorhome
2010- 1999 Class A Cruise Master

We've raised four kids, traveled the 49 states, Alaska twice (taking grandpa and grandma with us) and now am in my third year of retirement. The kids still like to go with us occasionally, along with the grandkids.

I'd like to get a BIG diesel pusher, my wife would like to downsize... so we'll stay where we're at for now.

Welcome to the forum Concord!!

It DOES sound like you have traveled a few miles. I would imagine you have a few good stories of your own.

Safe travels
Chance

Wow, what a friendly group!
Prompts me to go into a little more depth and get a little more personal...
In 1994 I was remodeling my home. Nearly complete, I fell off a ladder and broke my back at T12 and L5. I found myself in a wheel chair, paralyzed from the waist down. Living 36 miles from Mayo clinic helped, but it was God who allowed me to eventually regain enough feeling and muscle tone to walk again. Months later (still in a walking cast) I took our family camping in that old Concord (that we lovingly call the "Mcgiver mobile). That night, the interior lights didn't work and I was crawling under the coach to fix the wiring. I told my wife..."my life will go on.. We're going to find a new motorhome!".

On the way to a Christian men's group to speak about how God had worked in my life, I stopped at a dealer and looked at the travelcraft. I fell in love with it. The dealer apologized and said he had to close up or he'd miss a speaker at his church that he wanted to hear about a healing from paralysis. I told him "you won't be late, I'm the guy"!

So, 22 years later, I can't jump, I can't run, but thank God, I can walk. Two years after the accident, he even gave me another son..Friends said: "OK, now you're just showing off!". PTL !
