If they are roof top mounted units, that's all you get. The one in the front cools the front, etc. Some units have basement air that comes out the floor registers. That would be the only ones that cool the entire rv. I have heard that you can add a soft start to be able to run both, but Im not familiar with the install. You usually can start the generator, and run both A/Cs at once.Welcome to the site.

Wait not sure if this is the same issue that we had. We had a Forest River reflections 2003, with two A/C units on top. One for the front and one for the back bedroom. We were not given any instructions. Both a/c did both Air and heat and when the temp was sat at the same they both came on and went off. Not operating, we were at a loss.

The repairmen came out and informed us we needed to offset temps for them not to come on at the same time. On the driver's side outside was the FUSE Box. He replaced the FUSE and everything worked fine after that. We were also informed one each side of our RV was a GAS vent. He informed having two mean they are separate units and our RV was on 50-AMP, but that they were never to come on at the same time as this would only blow a FUSE. Once it was replaced we never had another problem with our A/C or heaters. Hope this information can help you.

Let us know your outcome?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Not being familiar with your RV I can't say for sure. Many motorhomes have central air ducts that run the length of the rig and both A/C units dump air into the same ductwork.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome to the forum.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share. Most newer RVs have "central AC" , however older rigs with roof mounted then they are not connected.

Enjoy the adventure!
