New to this & Excited!!!

Hi everyone,
My husband, dog, and I will be getting on the road come July in our "new to us" 2007 Mandalay Valencia 38' MH. We've decided to retire at 62 & 61 and travel through this beautiful country we have. Due to the fact that we have a 2-yr old grandson we don't want to leave for too long, we plan to travel 7 to 8 mos. and be home for 4 to 5 mos during the year. This will be divided up and not all at once. The wealth of information that is out there and the eagerness to help us newbies is phenomenal. I just wanted to say Hi. I'm looking forward to many "conversations" on this forum and to the many RV friends we'll make.
Here's to happy traveling,

Hi Gayle, welcome to IRV2. We retired at 63 & 60. We rented our house out and when we are home, we stay in our daughters back yard. We don't like being gone too long, because of our 6 grandchildren, but have been able to travel quite a bit. Enjoy your travels.

Thanks for the warm welcome. We'd love to make the rally in Sept., but I don't think the dates will work for us. Going to take a closer look.

My wife and I have been fulltiming for 6 months now. We have no plans to go back to stick & brick anytime soon. You'll love it!

Gayle, Welcome to the forum and happy travels,

My website describes the conversion of my Dodge B-250 van into a small RV. I deal with a lot of woodworking, but hope to be quite specific on solar as well.
