New to this and love it
My wife, GiGi our 3yr Goldendoodle, and I just started RVing Sept 2012 with the purchase of a 2013 Passport TT. I travel a lot for business and love this lifestyle as the family can go with me.
Last month while working in Ohio I saw a dealer that had several used Class A's and decided to bring the wife up to look over some.
The unit that caught our eye was rather rough but a 2008 Fleetwood 40E was exceptionally clean and practically new with only 13,000 miles.
After we got the price to a reasonable level we sealed the deal.
We have put around 2,000 miles on it in about 4 weeks and I can't believe how easy it is to drive and setup at the campsites.
We tow my 2012 Silverado 4WD as I need it for work. It follows along well and I find it easier to couple and uncouple than the TT was.
I look forward to full-timing some day and seeing more of the country.
Until then this is my mobile office and motel and with my family along it a great way to go.
I discovered this site while looking for help on some items and what little I have used it find it to be an great source of helpful advice and suggestions

We had the local RV dealer install a Blue Ox Tow system. Ours is rated for 10,000lbs due to the sie of your unit. We also are using a Brake Buddy system in the Silverado for the truck brake control. I don't have any other experience in towing a vehicle for comparison but I find this to be a much quicker setup than it was to hook up our TT to the truck as we did before.

Looking forward to that day. I am self employed and like my work. Will do as long as I can but trying to spread my area and visit more areas.
Been in Hickory, NC for work some years back. Beautiful area.

Have you talked to an accountant?
You may be able to write off a portion of the coach for business reasons.

If we buy the 2005 Adventurer or similar Class A we will look at towing our Silverado 1500 or the Malibu or.....
Maybe Ill hook up both and add in my old 1967 Ford F250.
Make a train out of the whole bunch!
Naw Ill stick to one. LOL
