New to this Forum

Like the title says I am new to the forum but have a lifetime of experiences in the RV world. My parents had a truck camper in the mid sixties. We adventured all over the southeast, southwest, Pacific Northwest and to Alaska and back. As an adult I have had 3 truck campers and 2 MH coachs. A 33' Pace Arrow and now a 35' Jayco Seneca. We live in the mountains just off of the Chinook Pass highway near Yakima, Washington. Retired after a couple 3 careers. I was a carpenter, a commercial electrician and wrapped it all up as a Off Road Vehicle Ranger with the USFS. Most what we do is tour car shows in the summer. Head for some of the local jeeping areas and go boating. Winters we Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe. Look forward to reading others experiences while living more of our own.

Welcome! With your experience, I'm sure you will have some helpful info for others. You will find the search bar at the top of screen very helpful. If you go searching for help with your RV, adding your brand and model to your signature will help people with solutions. Safe travels.

It's my first time on the forum and I've been RVing for about 30 years. I'm a retired general contractor from Tx. and now living the dream in the mountains of Colorado with my wife. We currently have a 2008 Alfa seeya, but have been bitten by the bug to upgrade to something newer and maybe something that drives a little better. hoping the forum has some helpful advice.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I have never been a carpenter, but I am a retired electrician with 47 years in the trade prior to retirement. Glad to see you here!

I just joined today but have been planning this for awhile. I am almost 60 and no reason to stay in one place any more. (isn't that a song?) I need help and direction and am here to learn all I can before I take the leap. Have until August of next year to stay where I am and so much to learn. I am not even sure what I want to buy yet, something small and easy. Enough room for me and my dog.

Welcome to all three of you.

Murkman - Seems you have one busy schedule. Wish I could do that many things and still have time to travel. After we retired we decided our new favorite past time was RV'ing and seeing the US. Having traveled the world while working, I want to see some places closer.

Mike369 - Great to have you with us. Don't forget that today's RV's are not made as well (in many cases) as they used to be. Lots of advise here so jump in and enjoy.

susanpom1 - Congrats on the decision. You will love it, We travel with the two of us and our Sheltie. We decided on a smaller Class A because we had some specific requirements. It is easy to drive and met all our needs. Just take a look at your needs and wants, and then start looking. Take your time and remember in the end, it comes down to what YOU want. If you can, try to get a chance to drive the vehicle if you decide on a motor home or are comfortable pulling a trailer. While it was not within our requirements, take a look at class B's.

Have fun and ask questions anytime.
