Getting our 92 Fleetwood 32' SouthWind next week and moving with it from BC can to NB Can in spring. It's a nice class A. If we make it to NB with no problems than it will be a keeper. Happy new year to you all.

Welcome.

You have a complex machine that is nearly 20 years old.

Not to be a downer, but...
Regardless of mileage on it you can reasonably expect that it will need quite a few things done before it is safe to consider reliable for trans continental travel. Things like chassis, engine, drivetrain, steering, suspension, tires, belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc. Add to that the RV specific components, appliances, controls. etc and you have quite a lot of wok to do verifying the condition of everything even if no work is really needed. But something is always needed.

Try to find an old hand up that way to spend some time with you going over everything. Good luck with it all.

Thank you Jeff & Elaine. And thanks Bryan for the info. Our SouthWind comes from a dealer and all has been check on it. It has 70000 miles. A very clean unit. But will check all that you mention. Again thanks

Hopefully your dealer went over it thoroughly. However, I suggest you get loaded and take a SHORT trip for a few days. It will reveal anything they might have overlooked.

Welcome!! One of the things most dealers won't tell you is that tires even with 99% tread if much over 6 years old need to be replace. Check the date codes on the inside of the tires.

I agree with denochs; take a short trip for a few days or for that matter do a little driveway camping at home to check everything out. Enjoy!!

Congratulations on the new digs! You can do a lot of maintenance and repairs with the depreciation you saved, and the bugs have been worked out of it

See you on the road!
