Smile New to us 1999 Holiday Rambler Endeavor

Hi All,

We're not new to rving, but new to IRV2. We used to have a 2002 Newmar Dutch Star and we loved it but had to get rid of it. We recently purchased a 1999 Holiday Rambler Endeavor diesel pusher. We're looking to connect with other Holiday Rambler users.

In addition, we're wondering about satellite and what service to get. Ideally we can use it for home as well as on the road. Just curious about which (Dish, Direct/TV or another brand) are considered the most inexpensive, yet fully functional system?

Looking forward getting to know more of you as well as becoming knowledgeable about our rv.

Thanks,
Debbie & Paul Becher

Hi Debbie & Paul

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. You're gonna like it here.

I've been using Dish Network. I like that I can stop service for the times when I'm not using my RV. Plus it is HD compatible.

Happy Trails!!!

from WA State!

What model DSDP did you have? We had a 2000 3865 and a 2002 4090, both ordered new. Kept the '02 for 13 years and it was the most reliable rig we've ever had.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good folks and good info here. We too are having the great TV debate being part timers currently and rely on our firestick a lot.

We had a Dutch Star 3852. Loved it and was sad to let it go.

Welcome. I have a HR Endeavor as well. 1998 with 5.9 ISB cummins on an XC chassis. Have had some issues but so far a very comfortable rig.

If you don't mind my asking, what types of issues did/do you have with your Endeavor?

Welcome! We use DISH. Used to have Direct and it was a pain. Switched to DISH and like the fact that we can put it on hold when not in use. We get much better service from DISH. Enjoy your travels!

Sure. Mostly minor things. Water heater pressure relief valve needed replacing, replaced fuel lift pump, may need to replace vp44 injector pump soon (4-6 grand ouch), fuel leak at one time (1200.00 fix). Minor repairs to drawers, cabinets, doors etc... We do yearly service in October and so far so good. Our slide out bushing is in need of repair and the switch on our electric awning needs replacing. Our grey tank shut off valve leaks and I havent fixed it yet, but put another cap with a drain port keeps it from hitting the ground. Tank sensors are useless. Roof will need attention soon but not sure what type of roof it is so not sure what product to use to resurface it. Fan roof covers need replacement too.

Nice ride and comfortable to live in. We are very happy with our rig.
