New Winnebago Owners
Hello.....
We are new to the Class A world. We started years ago with a TT, no slide, and wound up parking it at a nearby season spot on a lake. The DW gets hurt at work and had the summer off. We were up there constantly and decided that unit was not near big enough. We traded it in on a 38 foot TT that we did not have enough truck to pull. The dealership delivered it and we used it the first year. The next year the DW got healed and went back to work and we used it rarely. The following 3 years it sat and was almost never used. We sold it and all that went with it to a couple of retirees. We SWORE OFF camping. Fast forward 6 years and the itch comes back. Start off slow we decided, started in '08 with a Jayco 23B HTT. Used it one time and the DW goes off to Army basic training at 36 years old (Waiver from previous service time and graduates as honor grad, top physical fitness recruit). She comes back and decides she has done all the tent camping she can stand. We go back to the dealer, hat in hand, and try to make a deal. They give us exactly what we paid for it the previous year and we buy a bunkhouse TT. We keep it a year and decide that we would use it more if it was a class C that the DW could drive and get set up and I could meet after work. She was not comfortable pulling a 32' TT with a crew cab Tundra. Trade it on a Class C bunkhouse and are ready to go. Well it went in to have PM done on the roof, etc and we get the Class A itch. The dealer and us both got our pencils sharp and came to an acceptable deal with trade and new purchase on a Winnebago Vista 35F. Have not used it yet but have a few reservations set up for the year.
