Hi all,
On our first trip from Alaska to the Florida Keys. We are in a fleetwood Storm and slowly learning the ins and outs, like I have one very new rule, "Make sure the black water slider is closed before taking off end cap"

Think about learning from the mistakes of others by reading about them here first rather than making them yourself.

I believe that's about the longest trip you can make on this continent. How many miles do you think you will cover?

I don't use my end cap. For obvious reasons.

Welcome. The black cap trick has been tried by many. Guaranties another shower after dumping and the dump station owner loves it to.

I was lucky the cap stuck a little and I noticed the liquid running over my hand. Closed the cap and closed the valve and only had to deal with a little between the end of the valve and the end of the pipe. A question occurs to me, what am I responsible to do if the whole tank emptied onto the ground?

I know a guy it happened to Didn't empty the whole tank, but a lot. He notified the park operator and all they said was Thanks for letting us know so we can clean it up.

Welcome to the forums!

I can't begin to tell you how many mistakes I have avoided by learning from the wisdom and experience of others.

Our first camper was a travel trailer. As a newbie, I asked for advice. The first advice was "Park. Set your brake. Chock your wheels. In that order. Ask me how I know." I never forgot to chock the wheels!

Happy travels,
