Hello,
I just sign on to irv2.
MY wife and I have been campers since 1972 before the kids.
Raised two daughters who now are married each with two children
and also enjoy camping. We started out in a van and moved to a pop-up
them on to Travel trailers. I have always wanted a Motorhome.
We have been looking for quite a while. Today I found a 2009 Damon
daybreak 3578 with 6000 miles Ford V-10 and a Banks system.
Does any one have any information on the Damon brand?
tires have a dot # of 4207 which means tires are still good for a few years?
No signs of water leaks or delamination on exterior.
any opinions would help and appreciated since I'm new to the motorhome buying.

Welcome to IRV2! Hope you have many good trips to share.

I would not agree that tires with dot #4207 still have a few years on them. They were made in 2007 and are already 8 years old. I would not pay to much attention to the tread but to weather cracking. Just me but I don't want to be in the middle of the country and have a blow out. I change my every 5 years because I don't want to pay very expensive road side service fees for changing/replacing a tire. I don't have an extended warranty so I cannot get tires/wheels coverage without it.

Thanks to all for the welcome into the group.
Also thanks for information on the tire issue.
I still haven't pull the trigger on the motorhome Yet.
Still researching as to not make a costly mistake.
