NEWBIE
Hello to you all. I am the proud owner? of a 1997 Fleetwood Southwind 32v.
It just over 25,000 miles on it and is overall in good shape. Needs some brake work and new latches for many of the cargo compartments . The chassis has a lot of surface rust on it. Also need to replace some of the gas struts. So going to Jack it up onto Big Jack stands and use my glass bead blaster to knock of the surface rust and then undercoat it. Got it for 8500.00 so can afford to spend some money getting it right. Lubed it today so that is done. We drove it 90 miles home and it ran excellent. Need to get the oil and filter changed on the main engine and the Onan Marquis 5000 watt genset Pronto. So glad that I have found this forum. I live in Seaside Oregon and we want to go to Arizona in the winter. My wife Joanne and I have just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. Best regards to all of you.

Ton & Joanne,
Welcome to the Forum and Happy Anniversary. Congrats on the new to you rig. You will love this hobby.
There is a lot of info here so start reading some old threads. Look up one called "Total Rebuild" It's long but full of rebuild info.
Try Amazon for the latches. Some places can be quite costly, especially the RV places. Best of luck with your project.
