Hi all,

I am a non RV owning woman who is looking into buying a Roadtrek. I always wanted an RV, but always felt they were all too big for me. Roadtrek seems to have "just the right size". Could I get feedback from any Roadtrek owners about comfort, reliability, etc. Also, any opinions about gas vs diesel ( I am leaning more toward a couple of the diesel models). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum...

I know a couple of Roadtrek owners..They seem to be happy..They make alot of small Class C MH with lotsa more room that are easy to drive...So my question is, are you afraid the 23-24 foot MH would be to much to handle? Are you looking to be able to use the Roadtrek on an everyday bases not pulling a towed car. If you are gonna put a bunch of miles on it, go diesel. If it's a use some times RV go gas...Good Luck...D

New member here too

We looked at Roadtrek as well, we felt that a Class B suited our needs better than something larger. We plan to do extensive travel in remote areas that would not be condusive to something larger than a Class B, and we were looking for more fuel efficiency, as well.

We looked at used Roadtreks, but could not find any at a reasonable price, but what we did find was a LTV Freedom 2B with only 37K on it. The LTV is very similar to Roadtrek and actually has some features that the Roadtrek didn't.

We plan to do some short trips this year to get used to the RV, and to see if we are "RV people"! LOL!

I will probably be using this site to gain more knowledge and to ask dumb questions, so pease be kind!!

We recently met a couple on their second Roadtrek, and they really like it. We took a 'tour' (stick your head inside, turn it side to side

). A nice little rig, and nice people. Clearly it fits their needs.

Yes, I am afraid an over 20' vehicle would be too big for me. The largest thing I ever drove was my Honda Pilot :-). Also, I live in a gated community ( no Rvs allowed), so I am hoping I can find something that I can hide in my garage. I plan to put a lot of mileage on it, but don't plan on towing anything. I probably will end up with a diesel because I am really leaning toward the Roadtrek SS- Ideal. I amwaiting for a small RV show next week so I can see it up close and personal. The closest dealer is 1 1/2 hours away from me.

I looked up the LTV Freedom. It is really nice looking, but too big for my garage. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
