DW and I are new to RVing. We both have done lots of backpacking and camping for many years. I am retiring this April and decided it's time to find out how and why RVers seem to have so much fun!
We have ordered a new Airstream TT to be delivered early April and have purchased a Ford F250 PSD to pull the A/S.
Some folks think we might be slightly off center to take a plunge such as this since we don't know whether the RV life style is our style. We figure, what's not to like since we are going to be doing many of the same things we've done in past plus a lot more. Time will tell. Needless to say, we are excited to begin the RV journey!
Hope to get some good pointers from seasoned veterans of the road.

Congrats on your new purchase. I am sure you will enjoy your Airstream when you get it. What better way to get an early start to a backpacking trip then to wake up and step outside your door!
.. And Welcome to IRV2!

Us too! We started with a 2006 Fleetwood Southwind 32VS V10 Ford in September of 2006 and moved to a 2006 Monaco Knight 40DFD in January of this year. We purchased the DP in Florida at Lazy Days and returned home (Indiana) a few days later and promptly hung up the new rig in the front yard (we had alot of rain here). That is sure a great way to show off the new toy to the neighbors , and to make the DW happy about the new "landscaping" But all is well now.
Peace, Dan and Kathy (still married)

Welcome!

I think you'll find RVing is about like everything else --- you get out of it what you put into it. I predict you'll love it! Good luck and have fun.
