Newbie from Alberta Canada

Hi we own a 1980 Winnebago LLT Trailer that has just completed another 4000 mile circuit of the US in the last 2 weeks, last summer we took it down through Alberta,BC,Montana,Idaho,Washington,Oregon,Califor nia,Nevada,Utah,Wyoming 5000 miles in 14days, this summer we travelled through Alberta,Montana,Idaho,Utah,Nevada and Arizona. We also made it over the dreaded Heckman Pass in British Columbia in 2007 to get to Bella Coola. We have never seen another one like it and it's a great conversation piece. It's nice to join the forum and be able to learn from others.

Best time to camp in Valley of Fire

Thanks for the welcome everyone, has anyone else camped at the Valley of Fire park near Vegas?..We just did and the coolest it got at night was 96F..and no air in our little Winnie..I was melting..we visited the Hoover dam and the day we were there it was 47C..and our A/C belt had broke in our Suburban...I have never experienced heat like it before..lol...Being an Alberta boy we can have some moderately hot summer days but it cools down in the evenings...We really enjoyed camping in Nevada and Arizona as it is so different from up here in Alberta and BC. When is the best time to go as far as reasonable weather is concerned?..

in the winter with the rest of us snowbirds!!! We leave the snow in Ontario and head to Quartzsite AZ..our high temp for the summer was yesterday in a thunderstorm, it was 88f. Way too much rain this summer, was out in Alberta end of June, near Airdrie and Carstairs visiting family. Nice area.

Nice to see another Winnebago LLT online, they seem pretty rare.
