Welcome from another Georgian! We are newbies. Well, not exactly but we've forgotten what we learned several years ago. We are in Northeast GA and looking forward to camping with the Currahee Good Sam Club next week at Victoria Bryant State Park.

Hi,

Welcome to IRV-2 and congratulations on your new RV. I'm sure you will have years of enjoyment with it.

As for your tires, inspect them very close and see if there are any cracks in the sidewalls. If there are not then keep on rving.

Now for a few tips. 1- Park your tires on wood like 2X12's and they have
have to be under all six tires.
2- Buy tire covers and always leave them covered.
3- Coat them with a tire spray protectant
4- Keep them properly inflated.

I have 50K on my 2004 and the tires look like new and I will not change them until I really have to or I see cracks in them.

Have fun and enjoy it!

jabfado I'm no expert but even though your tires don't have much mileage if they have been sitting idle for a few years there is liable to be cracking of the rubber due to dry rot and UV rays. This can cause the tires to fail prematurely. Have them inspected by a reputable tire shop.

We plan on traveling with our cats. I am building an enclosure for the cab bed area to keep them in while traveling. Will post pictures when I am done

Thanks to all on the tire info, will install new ones as soon as I pick up our R.V. Probably will go with the Michilin's.
